Genesco is committed to sustainability across all aspects of our operations. This commitment influences how we select materials, develop products, and manage our facilities, including our corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and retail locations. It extends further through our partnerships with vendors and suppliers to advance sustainable practices across the value chain. We focus on five key areas to build a more sustainable future:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • Lowering non-renewable energy consumption
  • Conserving water
  • Minimizing packaging materials and waste
  • Diverting waste for landfills

We have made steady progress in reducing our carbon footprint, cutting water usage, and increasing the use of recycled materials in our products and packaging. Our recycling initiatives and improvements in packaging design also support continued reductions in our environmental impact. Today, 100 percent of our store bags are made from recycled materials.

Our sustainability policies and practices are guided by our Environmental Policy, Climate Change Policy, and Vendor Code of Conduct, which help us remain accountable to our stakeholders and lay the foundation for future growth and responsible resource management.
