Genesco is committed to responsible sourcing practices. We depend on third-party vendors to produce the products we sell and work only with those who share our dedication to ethical labor and environmental stewardship. In 2021, Genesco published a comprehensive Human Rights Policy outlining our commitment to respecting human rights and upholding the fundamental standards that guide how we treat our employees, customers, and business partners—with integrity, trust, and respect. The policy aligns with our internal code of conduct and business ethics standards and is informed by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. We continue to strengthen our efforts to cultivate a respectful and inclusive workplace that supports our employees and advances our business objectives. Our inclusion initiatives focus on four overarching areas—community, talent, business practices, and measurement. We conduct annual employee engagement surveys with various segments of our population to ensure we listen, learn, and respond to the needs of our employees. Our vendors, suppliers, and contractors are held to the same standards outlined in our Human Rights Policy, our Vendor Code of Conduct as well as our Environmental Policy. The policies listed below highlight some of the ways we uphold these commitments.
