Ms. Barsh joined Genesco's Board in November 2013. She served as a senior partner emeritus of McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, from March 2013 through March 2026, following more than 30 years with that firm, where she had been a senior partner since 1994. She is the author of several books on leadership and continues to conduct research on talent management within the U.S. and in Latin America. Ms. Barsh has counseled companies and organizations around the world in the retail, consumer products, direct selling, private equity, and media sectors on strategic and operational issues. She has been a strong advocate for women for over two decades, having worked with The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Fortune, Danone's Eve Program, and Monterrey Tech. The Board believes that Ms. Barsh's expertise gained through more than three decades of helping management teams and boards identify market opportunities, chart and implement strategies, identify and execute business transformations and navigate industry transitions, as well as her extensive research on advancing women and people of color in the workplace, provide valuable insight to Genesco's Board and management.
