This is only a summary of the benefits we offer to our employees. Upon hire, new employees will receive detailed information about eligibility, enrollment and other important information. Highlights of our benefits include:

• Online W-2 Access

Please visit http://www.eprintview.com/

All employees, including former employees, may access their W-2 information via the internet. As a reminder, this service is available for all Genesco divisions, including Journeys, Journeys Kidz, Shi by Journeys, Hat World, Lids, Hat Shack, Underground Station, Jarman, Johnston & Murphy and Dockers Footwear. Currently 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 W-2s are available. Simply log onto a secure website, go to http://www.eprintview.com/ and obtain your form by following these easy directions:

1.Enter your Login ID [social security number without dashes eg. 123456789]
2.Enter your Password [birthdate without dashes eg. 03151978]
3.Enter your Employer Pin [0503], click Login.
4.You will be required to change your password upon the initial login.  Follow the instructions on the screen and fill in the appropriate information requested.
5.On the My Account page, click the Consent to receive your tax form online link.
6.Carefully read all of the consent disclosure information.
7.Enter your Consent Code.  You may retrieve this code by clicking the link to the right of the consent code field.
8.Enter your Email Address and Click the “Consent” button.

Once you have established your login, please return to http://www.eprintview.com/ and continue with these instructions:

1.Enter your Login ID, and your new password, Employer Pin
2.On the My Account page, click the Get your 2007 W-2 Form link.
3.At the “Process Original W-2” page select how you would like to receive your W-2 form by choosing to either Continue to Print or Email button.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has announced that the new deadline for scholarship applications for the Genesco Scholarship will be March 15, 2008. The application, sealed appraisal letters, sealed transcript and other supporting materials must be received on or before March 15, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. (Central).

Scholarship opportunities are available to Genesco employees and their children through the Genesco Employee Scholarship Fund. Funding is provided by Genesco and administered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, a third party organization which oversees the application and selection process for the scholarships. Other scholarship opportunities are available through the Two/Ten International Footwear Foundation, an organization which Genesco has membership.

• Comprehensive Health Care Plans

Genesco provides family health care protection for eligible employees and their families. Employees may choose from several different medical plan options depending on their needs. PPO Network and HMO plans are available.

• Dental Insurance

Dental coverage is offered to eligible employees and their families. Preventive and diagnostic care is paid at 100%.

• 401(k) STEP Plan

The Company will match $1 for every $1 of an employee's contribution up to 3% of eligible employees, plus $0.50 for every $1 you contribute on the next 2% of salary. Employees are able to direct funds to one or more of a number of investment options.

• Stock Purchase Plan

The Employee Stock Purchase Plan allows eligible employees to purchase Genesco stock through payroll deduction. Participants set aside a portion of their earnings from each pay period during the plan year, which they use to purchase stock at 95% of the market price on the last day of the plan year. The Stock Purchase Plan is a great way to participate in the ownership of Genesco.

• Life Insurance - Employee and Dependent

Life insurance is offered to all eligible employees based on employee group and annual salary. The Company also offers contributory dependent life insurance for employee's spouse and dependent children. Accident Insurance and Seat Belt benefits are also provided.

• Disability Insurance

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage is available to eligible employees.

• Discount Privileges

Genesco offers employees the opportunity to purchase merchandise at a 40% discount in our Company-owned retail stores. Additional discount opportunities are available through wholesale channels.

• Vacation Pay

Genesco believes that employees should have time each year for travel, leisure, or any purpose they wish. Full-time employees and Regular part-time employees are eligible for vacation benefits based on years of service.

• Holiday Pay

Genesco recognizes that there are special days employees may want to spend with family and friends. Eligible employees celebrate paid holidays based on employment classifications.

• Educational Assistance

To encourage professional growth and development, Genesco provides educational assistance up to $5,000 to employees for tuition and required books for job related courses.

• Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may use flexible spending accounts to save money on expenses for child care or elder care through a dependent care account and on expenses for medical, dental, vision and hearing through a health care account with tax-free dollars.

• Internal Job Postings

Genesco offers employees the opportunity to apply for selected open positions within the Company for which they qualify through an internal job posting system.

• Service Awards

Genesco takes pride in offering employees a symbol of our appreciation and sincere thanks through service awards based on length of service.

• Fitness Center (Corporate Office)

Genesco provides an on-site fitness center at no cost to employees, which includes state-of-the art fitness equipment and dressing facilities for all employees.

• Matching Gifts

Genesco matches employee contributions to qualifying 501(c)3 non-profit organizations up to $600 per employee, annually, with up to two gifts.

• Adoption Assistance

Genesco provides financial assistance for adoption-related expenses up to a maximum of $3,000 per child for eligible employees.
